- well win irc seems to be a tricky program. have you tried another server yet?
- that is hat fixed some of my problems(still looking for a client that does dcc)
- otherwise might i sudgest that you get a dos client and use that on april 16th
- (since thats when you said you needed it by) and then work on fixing winirc.
- hope this helps

- No Steve, I'm the one who was confused :) I didn't read the Release Notes
- close enough. I misread the line "DNS resolution of Windows Network names
- and WINS resolution of DNS names is NOT supported in this release."
-
- BTW, All seems to be working now. It's almost as if it fixed itself
- somehow. Weird.

- I have had the same problems. However I am going thru a firewall machine.
- Has anyone had any experience in getting a Windows gopher client to work
- thru a firewall? I can run gopher thru WinMosaic but that is slow and has
- been known to cause some GPFs.

- I know someone who is working on one (he's about two cubicles down from me).
- The NTP part seems to be very solid, and works on a number of stacks. Once he
- is done, I'm hoping he'll put it on the net. That's not an easy process
